About Jill
Jill Lissner (she/her) is a sex educator, content creator, and speaker. She currently lives in Southeastern Pennsylvania, working in sex education and advocacy locally and nationally. She started her journey in this field at Muhlenberg College as an undergraduate student looking to get involved on campus. She joined the campus’ sexual and gender violence peer education group, Voices of Strength, immediately fell in love with the work, and developed a passion for educating others. Upon graduating, she worked at Planned Parenthood as a medical assistant. She has continued to work in the nonprofit space with organizations that amplify the importance of access to sexual health care and education.
Jill earned her Master of Education at Widener University’s Center for Human Sexuality Studies in 2024 and has continued as a doctoral student in the program. She has a strong interest in writing and research, and in 2021, she was a research assistant on one of the first-ever projects addressing consent practices and perceptions within the erotic hypnosis kink community.
Jill’s interests include sexual health, reproductive justice, and positive sexuality in combination with politics and identity. She is also passionate about the intersections of sexuality and body image and is an advocate for individuals with eating disorders. She uses her social media platforms to post about her experiences and shares her story to encourage others to accept their authentic selves. Jill is extremely passionate about social justice work, including advocacy for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized communities.
Jill is a queer, Jewish, and chronically ill woman. She uses the different facets of her identity to foster connections with others and enhance self-exploration in her learning and the learning of others. She strongly believes in experiential learning and bringing personal experiences, reflections, and emotions into learning environments.
